Informations about recent changes related to Regulation 2023/956

Dear Business Partner,

We would like to inform you about recent changes related to Regulation 2023/956 of the European Parliament and Council dated May 10, 2023, which introduced the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) for addressing greenhouse gas emissions in goods listed in Annex I to this Regulation.

According to this regulation, all importers of goods such as cement, iron and steel, aluminum, electrical energy, fertilizers, and hydrogen, who imported such goods into the European Union from October 1, 2023, are required to report such supplies. Compliance with regulations and requirements is essential.

RCM d.o.o. specializes in customs clearance of CBAM goods and operates as a direct or indirect representative. If we have conducted customs clearance for your goods as a direct representative, we urge you to fulfill the reporting requirements independently in accordance with the legislation.

If you have authorized us to handle customs clearance as an indirect representative, please be informed that we will submit the necessary report to the TAX Authorities on your behalf. Reporting services will be billed according to the applicable price list.

In case you have already submitted the CBAM report, please inform us to avoid duplicate registrations. The deadline for submitting the report for the period between October 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023, is January 31, 2024.

For any additional questions, clarifications, or assistance, please contact us at [email protected].

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Best regards,

RCM Team, d.o.o.
