The EU Fights Against Deforestation!

As of June 29, 2023, new regulations (EU Regulation 2023/1115) apply to the import of forest products into the European Union. The goal? To reduce deforestation and protect our environment.

01.01.2023, and by that date, the Republic of Croatia will formally enter the Schengen area. RCM, d.o.o. we have managed to obtain information from the Financial Office of Maribor and DARS that there will be no specifics from the point of view of customs clearance at the Border Crossing Gruškovje-Macelj and Obrežje-Bregana. 

We received a shipment of electric vehicles destined for the European market at our customs storage centre in OIC Hrpelje-Kozina today. With our experts, we have arranged all necessary documentation for imports and all logistics (unloading from the container, storage and shipment to the European market).

Volume Trends

Import volume into Russia declined again last week, down 49% week-over-week and 76% compared to 14-20 February. Last week, import volume into Ukraine remained low, down 82% compared to 14-20 February. 

As of 10 April, the seven-day average delivery volume to countries bordering Russia and Ukraine was up 43% compared to 21 February. Comparatively, deliveries to Russia and Ukraine were down 78%, and the rest of Europe was up 9% over the same period.

After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Serbian drivers of heavy goods vehicles on the Ukrainian border with Romania had to wait for several days as Ukrainian forces did not allow them to leave. Thanks to diplomatic mediation between Serbia and Ukraine, trucks entered Romania.

According to the new decree of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, which will enter into force on 15 July, entry and transit for all persons entering the Republic of Slovenia are strictly limited. This regulation repeals all exceptions - there are no more exceptions for drivers in international transport entering or crossing Slovenia.
